Road Repair Millage

New Additional Millage

Shall the tax rate limitation for Wheatland Township be increased, with a tax levied on all taxable property within the Township, in the amount of 1 mill per year ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the years 2012-2022, inclusive?   This proposed millage is a new additional millage for Road Repair purposes.  The purpose of this levy is to provide funds for the repair and/or maintenance of Township roads.  It is estimated that a levy of 1 mill would provide a revenue of approximately $39,000.00 in the first calendar year.

Wheatland Township

Wheatland Township Fire Protection Services Millage

Renewal of Previously Authorized Millage

Shall the increased existing tax rate limitation for Wheatland Township be renewed, with a tax levied on all taxable property within the Township, in the amount of 2 mills per year ($2.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the years 2012-2031, inclusive?   This proposed millage would renew a previously authorized millage for Fire Protection Services, in the amount of 2 mills.  The purpose of this levy is to continue to provide funds for the purchase of firefighting equipment and for all operating expenditures for provision of fire protection services.  It is estimated that a levy of 2 mills would provide the continuation of revenue of approximately $78,000.00 in the first calendar year.
