WORK CREW SUPERVISOR - Community Corrections

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Corrections, direct, oversee, and supervise community service clients to and from work projects. Prepare and supply written reports or statements as may be required by the Director. Prepare daily work log in detail.

Employment Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent with additional course work in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, criminal justice, or related area preferred/ helpful, but not required.

Experience: Six months to one year supervisory experience, with some criminal justice experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate with and supervise individuals who have broken the law, both misdemeanant and felon.
• Ability to independently carry out responsibilities with a work crew in remote locations throughout the county.
• Familiarity with the proper use and care of maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers,etc.
• Certified in FIRST AID and CPR upon hire or within one month of hire.
• Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License.
