Birth records are not public records and can only be obtained by the individual or the parents of the individual either in person or through the mail.

On Line:
Mecosta County certified copies of births, deaths and marriage licenses can be ordered online with a credit card thru VITALCHECK.

In Person:
Fill out a request form and may be asked to show I.D.

By Mail:
Send name, birthdate, place of birth, father’s name, mother’s maiden name, signature, return address, copy of driver's license and the proper fee in a check or money order.

Certified copies of death and marriage records are also available at the County Clerks Office.

Fees:

$10.00 for the first copy and $5.00 for each additional copy of the same record. Check made payable to:
